Place of Plenty

Exclusive and intimate. Little Mombo in Botswana’s Okavango Delta beckons. Bring your loved ones for a memorable safari. Wilderness Little Mombo - Immerse yourself in an intimate safari experience.

A celebration of our conservation purpose, Little Mombo in Botswana is a smaller version of sister camp, Mombo, and is ideal for exclusive-use groups.

Location

In its prime position in the heart of the Okavango Delta, Little Mombo makes the most of its private traversing rights in the legendary Moremi Game Reserve. Here you can witness lions, leopards, and wild dogs waging ongoing battles between predators and prey.

Nestled on Chief’s Island

Little Mombo is set under giant jackalberry and sausage trees, across from Mombo on the other side of Chief’s Island in the Okavango’s famed Moremi Game Reserve. The camp overlooks a bountiful floodplain that attracts large herds of antelope and, naturally, their predators. There may be no better place in the world for spotting big cats.

Little Mombo moments

From your tented suite or the elevated deck at the Delta’s Little Mombo, spy elephants ambling past. Watch for the profusion of birds, perhaps sighting a lifer like endangered wattled cranes. Spend time at the hide watching the wildlife parade, or take to the skies for an aerial perspective from a helicopter.

Accommodation

If you’re dreaming of an exclusive safari experience, Little Mombo delights with an exceptional opportunity for sole use up to eight guests. With its own public lounge, dining area, kitchen, and boma, Little Mombo connects to Mombo by raised walkways – and equals its level of understated, thoughtful comfort, and incomparable hospitality.

Cuisine

Enjoy a fresh wood-fired pizza while overlooking the phenomenally busy floodplain in front of camp. Indulge in a harvest bush lunch at a teeming waterhole. Graze on a signature Mombo jaffle, an African toasted sandwich cooked on the fire. Or consult the in-camp sommelier and his extensive wine list for the perfect accompaniment to your meal.

Helping protect the Delta

You are part of our journey to defend, preserve, and expand the wilderness in which Little Mombo operates. Just by staying with us in the Okavango Delta, you help us to protect this vast land, working hand in hand with the local communities.
