Your 3 day/4 nights Tiger fishing safari ensures the best of two worlds – combining an unforgettable Kruger Park safari experience with fishing for one of Africa’s most ferocious and aggressive apex predators. Tiger fish is an awesome fish to catch on light tackle and fly-fishing equipment. The Komati River is home to numerous species of fresh water fish, the most famous of these is the Tiger Fish. Also known as Africa’s finest fresh water fighting fish with supreme game fish status.
Spend a couple of hours on the water with an experienced fisherman that has been fishing these waters for years. Even if you are a novice your guide has all the experience on board that you will need.
Simply jump on the boat, all equipment, tackle and bait is provided.

3 nights/4 days Kruger Tiger fishing Safari
Day 1
You will be met at KMI International airport and transferred to the Lodge. where you will be welcomed by our friendly management team.
Your guide will collect you from the Lodge at 14:30 pm for your first open vehicle safari.
We exit the Kruger Park at gate closing time just before sunset and return to the Lodge where you will enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening.
Day 2
After a good night’s rest we will be off to an early start at 05h30 for a full day game drive. Early morning is the best time to track down predators and the guides are in regular contact with each other to assist in route planning.
Your experienced guide will interpret the natural environment and animal behaviour for you in every detail whilst frequenting hotspots, bird hides and waterholes to ensure the most exhilarating safari experience.
Breakfast packs will be enjoyed at a rest camp/picnic venue and the safari then continues in search for the over 100 mammal & 500 bird species. Lunch will be at one of the rest camps. We return to the Lodge late afternoon (around 4 pm) where you can then relax and even jump into the swimming pool before dinner.
Day 3
Early morning pick-up for the start of your full day Tiger fishing experience. Due to the very early departure to the launch site, breakfast packs will be enjoyed on the boat/raft. You will also enjoy a “braai” (typical South African barbecue) for lunch while you are competing to land the biggest Tiger.
We will return to the lodge in the late afternoon (at around 18h00) after a great day and hopefully plenty of memories to share during dinner.
Day 4
After breakfast at the Lodge we depart to the airport in time for your flight.
